Building a brand and campaign for PlayGrind to encourage all women to use movement to rise and grow, not shrink
We don’t shrink, we rise
In today’s culture, women continue to face overwhelming and unrealistic beauty standards, often centred around slimness, unrealistic ideas of perfection, and constant self-alteration. These pressures are amplified by social media and online fitness culture, which too often promotes exercise as a tool for “fixing” the body rather than celebrating its strength and capability. As a result, movement is frequently tied to guilt, comparison, and a desire to conform, rather than to joy, power, and self-expression.
The PlayGrind campaign was developed as a direct response to this. It reframes fitness not as a means of shrinking to fit in, but as a way to rise, grow, and step into your full power. It’s a rejection of narrow beauty ideals and a celebration of what women’s bodies can do, not just how they look.
This campaign centres around a single white line and it’s fluidity, freedom and playful nature, tracing the motion of women as they move. Stripped back in design, the simplicity of the line allows the focus to stay where it belongs, on the strength, power and joy of the women moving through it.
